10 Extremely Expensive Upcoming Video Games (That Have Already Flopped)

9. Left Alive

STAR Citizen
Square Enix

After the mess that was Metal Gear Survive, fans are desperate for a proper new instalment that builds off what Phantom Pain achieved; something that utilizes the same tech and gameplay while still embracing that particular MGS oddness. Left Alive may be from an entirely separate franchise, but after looking at gameplay and it's promotional art, you may be convinced that this is that spin-off.

The latest game in the 'Front Mission' universe, Left Alive is flying incredibly under-the-radar for something with a lot of talent and money behind it (namely, Metal Gear Solid lead artist, Yoji Shinkawa). However, with trailers that don't boast the most exciting or original footage and underwhelmed press previews, this isn't getting the crucial publicity it needs.

Even with the reputable publisher Square Enix, it seems their "under-promotion" method is a representation of how much confidence they have in the game.
