10 Forgotten 90s Gaming Classics We Want To See Rebooted

10 Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee (1997)

Abe's Oddysee was most definitely a unique experience, as anyone who played it will tell you. Playing as the lovable Mudokon Abe, you are tasked with rescuing your fellow Mudokons from a grisly death at the hands of your evil employers; something which turns out to be a lot easier said than done. The combination of innovative gameplay, brain meltingly difficult puzzles and the central character who you couldn't help but love, meant that gamers couldn't wait to venture to Oddworld and hang out with it's inhabitants. But what could a next-gen reboot bring to the table? Aside from vastly improved graphics, we could see some motion control incorporated into the game. Imagine how it would feel to rub your own two hands together and chant, in order to possess an enemy. Ok, you would probably feel a little silly, but it would be hard to argue that it wouldn't be awesome. There would be no need to change the perspective as a lot of the puzzles relied on the side scrolling format but, as Rayman Origins and Braid have proved, there is still a lot of life left in the 2D side scroller; and with the creative minds behind this game and it's sequel, you can be certain there would be a lot of next generation head-scratching going on.
