Woah, man, youre probably thinking, I havent forgotten Captain Falcon!. Thats understandable, hes a key figure in the Super Smash Brothers series, and his gold nipple plates and legendary punching ability have been the launching point for many internet memes, but when was the last time a new F-Zero game came out? Ill answer that one for you, because Ive already googled it. Guess what, it was
2004. Almost a decade ago, and it was for the Gameboy Advance. Aside from the Smash Brothers series, he doesnt really pop up much anywhere else. So, perhaps you havent forgotten about Captain Falcon, but its fair to say Nintendo has. Arcade sci-fi racing games arent particularly hot right now, but that doesnt mean there isnt a market. Do we really need a full price F-Zero game? I could easily see the series living on as a cheaper, downloadable title. One of the first things Nintendo did with the Wiis controller was racing games, its somewhat surprising we havent gotten another F-Zero game.
