8. Half-Life
Good old Half Life. Who would have thought a theoretical physicist would be partly responsible for the enslavement of the human race? That's exactly what Gordon does- and all he done was shove a piece of rock into a machine. But this game gives us nerds hope - no matter how pear shaped the world goes- all we need to survive is a huge pair of glasses and a trusty crowbar. We don't even need to speak to anyone!
