Alexander comes it at number 8, not for consistent appearances - despite appearing regularly since the first iteration in FFVI – but for it's uniqueness. In a collective of summons inspired by mythical beasts and legends, Alexander is a humongous robot the size of a fortress.

Alexander's attack, Divine Judgement, inflicts heavy Holy damage, often leaving us to forget we even have it's attacks available until encountering tough undead or dark energy wielding enemies, but when we do bring it out, it leaves little in the way of mercy.

However, Alexander's stand out moment to date is his epic showdown with Bahamut in FFIX. As the dragon attacks the good people of Alexandria, Garnet and Eiko do their best Captain Planet impression to summon Alexander.

After protecting the city with it's angelic wings, it fires off a volley of Holy-powered rockets, killing the badass dragon in a huge fireball of an explosion.
