10 Greatest Pokémon From Generations I And II

10. Haunter

Haunter Ghost/Poison Gastly - HAUNTER - Gengar Gastly becomes Haunter at Level 25, Haunter evolves into Gengar via trade Haunter has always been a really sweet looking Pokémon. It was cool on the original Pokémon games back in the 90's and it simply got better for the Gold and Silver versions, thanks to the great improvements in on-screen visuals. As well as looking cool on our Gameboy screens, Haunter is one of the best looking Pokémon when it comes to independent fans creating their own representations of Haunter - often making the Ghostly menace appear much scarier than Nintendo intended the gassy ghost to be. Haunter doesn't just look cool though, he can do some serious damage too. As of the Gold and Silver versions of the game, Haunter could learn powerful moves such as Dream Eater and Psychic - as well as the useful Hypnosis and Mean Look to help catch those super rare wild Pokémon. Who can forget the epic Shadow Ball too? Probably one of the best looking moves on the game. Thanks to Haunter's dual type, trainers could also teach their Haunter's poison type moves such as Toxic and Sludge Bomb - which meant Haunter was a strong competitor against many types such as Grass, Psychic, Fighting, Poison and fellow Ghost types. Haunter was also incredibly fast and its high Special Attack stat meant their often wasn't time for an opponent to land even a single punch.
