It's a given that almost any commercially successful video game is going to have fans lining up for a sequel, and in the risky, unpredictable nature of video game development, there's nothing a publisher loves more than a lucrative IP they can dine out on for the foreseeable future.

To that end, many games optimistically leave their stories open-ended while providing sly narrative hints towards a potential sequel, and sometimes devs will get a little playful with it by hiding a sequel tease right in front of the player's face.

These 10 games all included impressively sneaky hints at sequels which have either been released or are near enough guaranteed to be in development.

With that in mind, don't expect to see Bully 2 on this list, because as much as Rockstar Games appears to have hinted at it as recently as in Red Dead Redemption 2, sources claim the game was quietly cancelled several years ago.
