10 Hotly-Anticipated 2016 Video Games You Should Be Worried About

9. The Division

Suffering delay after delay, when fans finally got their hands on The Division in the form of the recent open beta, it didn't exactly reignite the hype that the title was effortlessly riding a few years ago. Since its unveiling, games with the same concept as The Division have come and gone, and unfortunately, Ubisoft's latest seems to be suffering from some of the same issues that plagued those similarly-inspired shooters. Worryingly enough, The Division looks to be taking more than a couple of pages out of the Destiny rulebook - soulless loot grinds and all. While aesthetically, both titles are quite different, both games are built around the promise of a seamless online shooting experience where RPG elements and a constant grind are essential for making the most out of your time. Sadly, we all know how that turned out for Destiny, and the repetitive nature of The Division's beta, bog-standard third-person controls and a lack of single-player options - as well as a well-publicised visual downgrade - could be an indication that the past really does repeat itself.
