Revealed just last year at E3 2016, Hideo Kojima's first non-Metal Gear game since Zone of the Enders is already one of the most tantalising of anything this year. Interestingly, its development and intended release is also something of a mystery, being Kojima Productions only began putting together ideas after Hideo left Konami in 2015.

Sony then stepped in to secure exclusivity rights, letting the team borrow Guerrilla Games/Horizon Zero Dawn's immaculate Decima engine, along with some key staffers to get Death Stranding off the ground. As such, this has allowed Kojima to release a couple of teasers showcasing some phenomenal graphics, alongside multiple plot hints and immaculate renders of stars Norman Reedus and Mads Mikkelsen.

One year later, it's assumed there's now some sort of playable version of Death Stranding, albeit one that's far away from retail. At this stage though, outside of third-person open-world action, we still don't know how Death Stranding plays or really looks in-game, yet all who've laid eyes on those teasers are dying for more.
