10 Hotly-Anticipated Xbox One Games Coming In 2016

6. Quantum Break

Remedy Entertainment is a name that doesn't come up as often as it perhaps should in the context of industry recognition. While its back catalogue of developed games isn't as vast as, say Bethesda's, Ubisoft's or even Bungie's, Remedy are responsible for making some of the most innovative third-person shooters to ever grace your TV screen. You have Remedy to thank for Max Payne's lauded Bullet Time system and Alan Wake's light-based combat, and the streak of unique gameplay elements looks set to continue with Quantum Break. Sure, time distortion-based gameplay isn't exactly a novel concept in games, but Remedy's use of time warping, freezing and reversing, supplemented with what looks to be excellent third-person combat, is looking sublime. Being backed up by a Hollywood cast including Aaron Ashmore (you know, the guy that played Iceman in the X-Men films) and Game Of Thrones actor Aiden Gillen is one thing, but a live-action, digital TV series is also being developed concurrently with the game that'll enable players to make game-changing decisions and witness the impact of those choices in each episode. Risky? Yes. Potentially groundbreaking? You bet.
