A veritable XP-grind is essentially your main roadblock to progression, as missions are doled out in handfuls with notably restrictive level caps denoting what you "should" and "shouldn't" be trying yet.

Thankfully this totally works, as Ubi have peppered the world with everything from wildlife hunts to chariot races, murder mysteries to combat arenas, side-missions, tombs to plunder and more.

AC Origins has just as much a badass story as a world to get lost in. It benefits from 10 solid years of innovation within a series that has seen many ups and downs, but thankfully rolls everything together into one of this year's most surprisingly fun releases.
