It's 2015, please stop trying to make memes funny.

Well, now that E3's wrapping up yet again for another year it's time to take stock of what each studio at 2015's biggest gaming conference had to offer. With the smoke clearing and a chance to properly reflect away from the giddy hype which, admittedly, adds some rose-tinted glasses to the proceedings; this year's E3 was the same mess as every other year. An exciting, bombastic, amazing spectacular, but still a mess nonetheless.

Thankfully, most people wouldn't have it any other way, because for every The Last Guardian, Horizon: Zero Dawn or ReCore that gets shown every year, the unintentional slip-ups, awkward pauses or entirely mis-judged antics often make for moments as memorable as any game announcement.

Ask any follower of these conferences and they'll probably already have a top ten list of the most awkward, cringe-worthy and embarrassing moments from the E3s of yore sketched out on their person - because at this point these failures have become such an inherent part of the experience.

And while this year didn't have anything quite as bad as the trainwreck that was Mr Caffeine, Jamie Kennedy or the entire 2006 Sony press conference (it's fine, they've redeemed themselves since), E3 2015 still put up a strong showing when it came to memorable, unintentional and sensational gaffes.

10. "And Now On To Mobile Games..."

If there was a time during E3's line-up where you knew you could take a bathroom break without missing any surprises or breaking news, it was when any presenter from any of the conferences started talking about mobile games.

This year more than any other companies decided to forefront their mobile division, evident most directly in Square Enix's presentation, who's figure-heads spent an uncomfortable amount of time running through their slew of upcoming mobile tie-ins. While other companies managed to get away with going through their hand-held line-up, Square suffered more because they held the most hit and miss presentation of the entire conference, and so when they started to talk about mobile games it felt as though the spotlight was being taken away from titles that actually deserved it.

You can almost imagine how the unlucky soul who drew the short straw to present the mobile game segment felt like, because at such a massive event as E3 absolutely no one wants to hear about these titles when little games like Fallout 4 or The Last Guardian are being talked about elsewhere.
