10 Most Disappointing Games of 2012

9. Resident Evil 6

Resident Evil 6

The hype for Resident Evil 6 was almost as huge as the debate about the giraffe on the cover. It got so many survival-horror fan boys to place their pre-orders that Capcom knew they were going to make a profit no matter how the game turned out. While some people will say the game was good, most will say it was just plain disappointing. The "survival" aspect of the game was there but it failed to hit the most important part of the franchise, horror, and generally, the game just never felt truly scary. Of course I still played the whole thing during the day time with the lights turned on, but it never scared me like the previous games had. The worst part and most disappointing part of the game was how repetitive it became: shooting hordes of zombies was great for the first ten minutes but failed to entertain after that. The game also felt unoriginal and uncreative - I would have liked to have seen something different, new and truly scary. Wasting bullets on zombies for three hours just doesn't cut it. Although this game didn't amuse me and left me bored after the first twenty minutes, it did improve the terrible gun mechanics in Resident Evil 5 and the horrid Operation Raccoon City.
