10 Most Overlooked PS4 Gems Of 2017 (So Far)

9. Gravity Rush 2

Like some callback to when we all discovered the fun of Havok physics in Hitman 2, Gravity Rush has to be one of the straight-up coolest games on PS4.

With gameplay that literally lets you wield gravity itself, at any given time you'll either be reversing polarity to 'fly' across the world, or picking up objects to fling at your opponents. Though the actual story is a far more fantastical anime-influenced affair with corporate overlords and kidnappings to foil, just playing Gravity Rush gives off an immediate feeling of mechanical quality.

Kat's flight physics take just the right amount of time to get down, the physics-based combat is a blast thanks to all manner of particle effects popping off in all directions, and as you can batter opponents with melee combos too, Gravity Rush has a great sense of power fantasy wish fulfilment behind its sumptuous aesthetic.

Sadly, being the sequel to a PSP-only original, it kinda crippled Gravity Rush's advertising potential - though there is a free demo to try out - but don't let that put you off such a confident and well made game.
