10 Most Overrated Video Games Of The Past Decade

9. Dragon Age: Inquisition

Zelda Breath Of The Wild
BioWare

Many considered Dragon Age to be a return to form for Bioware. In reality, Inquisition is a colourful open world, chock-full of meaningless fetch quests, feigned character development, and a tired battle system.

Inquisition sits at 89% on Rotten Tomatoes, praised for its dual battle systems, diverse open world, and customisation options. None of those are incorrect; Dragon Age's world is indeed fun to explore but it never quite feels "open"; and the battle system, while unique, is a little clunky. Much like Telltale's games when viewed overall, the choices you make are somewhat superficial and far from earth-shattering.

Inquisition is fun game but one that reviewed so well because of when it released. 2014 was the first full year with PS4 and Xbox One, and there weren't many high-quality experiences available. The Witcher 3 released a year later and proved how inefficient and clunky Inquisition truly was.
