His most famous creations include a woman covered in mammary glands, a dude with a penis for a head, a vagina monster, but most absurd of all is the series' famed antagonist, Mara, a gigantic phallus that, in Shin Megami Tensei, rides around terrorising you in a golden chariot. It's a sight that would inspire laughter if it wasn't so troublingly grotesque. It's not just Mara's look that's insane, though; the arch-demon's attacks include ramming you with as much force as possible, ensuring this is one of the weirdest boss fights in the history of gaming. Even for the standards of Japanese video games, this one is off-the-charts freaky.
