On one hand, it's more environmentally friendly than going out and doing it for real, but on the other, why on Earth would anyone feel compelled to experience this in a virtual sense? Not to stereotype too much, but surely those enthusiastic about wood-cutting are outdoors-y types who probably aren't going to want to sit inside on a computer all day anyway? Therefore it's easy to imagine that most of the game's sales are accounted for by those who purchased it to make ironic "Let's Play" videos to post on YouTube. The game's idea of diversity is apparently the various implements with which you can cut trees down, which given how restricted some of the following games on this are actually seems pretty generous. It's a strange concept, and one which we imagine must get boring after more than about, oh, I dunno, three nano-seconds.
