10 Spider-Man Comic Arcs That Would Make Incredible Video Games

Batman got the Arkham series, Spidey needs one of these. Simple.

It would be completely untrue for me to start this article by bemoaning a complete lack of Spider-Man games that have been available over the years. In truth, there have been more than enough opportunities for gamers to take on the role of the world's favourite Web-Slinger. The question, sadly, is one of quality rather than quantity. Of course there have been a few stellar examples of very good Spidey games - as well as a few that don't get quite as much recognition as they truly deserve - but the fact still remains that the gaming landscape for Spider-Man adventures retains a pretty bleak outlook. This is hugely disappointing, as any Spider-Man fan could offer sermons and lectures on the perfect, video game-worthy qualities that their favourite hero has. Truly, Spidey is a character that deserves a really great video game. Well, he deserves more than one, but let's start with baby steps. From his exciting set of powers to the remarkable rogues gallery he's built up over the years, there are just so many reasons that an excellent Spider-Man game should exist these days. So for anyone looking for a splash of inspiration as to where this could come from, we've trawled through the Wall-Crawler's comic history to put together a list of stories that would be perfect for a video game adaptation. Get ready, True Believers; here are 10 Spider-Man comic arcs that would make incredible video games!
