10 Terrible Video Games That Tricked Us With Awesome Covers

10. Kane & Lynch

Kane And LynchWhat We Expected: A brutal action game revolving around two gangsters who sure look like they've been put through the wringer. It needs to be bloody, uproariously violent and basically complete carnage. What We Got: Though Dead Men begins well with its unique characters and graphic violence, its appeal quickly wears thin because there's really not much else to do. It largely consists of running from one large open space to the next and mechanically blasting through the hordes of enemies who get in your way. The mission objectives are very samey, and the stealth sections are enough to make any gamer want to chop their hands off just so they don't have to play this very un-awesome game anymore. Despite some promising superficial features, this game is basically just lacking a soul. It didn't get any better with the sequel, Kane & Lynch: Dog Days, which many disgruntled gamers took to hilariously naming "Kane & Lynch: Dog S***".
