10 Terrifying Gaming Moments That Kept You Up At Night

9. Motion Tracker - Alien Vs. Predator (1999)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feqpfZRH9nw Beep... beep... beepbeepbeepbeep. That's right: you know that when you hear that beeping going haywire things are going dramatically downhill. Let's see: Aliens can track down their prey with ease due to their ability to sneak through vents and climb up walls and ceilings. The Predator can leap from treetop to treetop stalking, whilst having the ability to camouflage themselves. What does the poor old Marine have? A motion tracker. This simple tool was quite useless but effective. You couldn't tell if they were coming from high or low - just their general direction. These beeps signalled that you had to get your finger on that trigger and stay frosty. Terrifying.
