10 Unhinged Video Game Characters That Would've Made Perfect Villains

10. Nathan Drake (Uncharted)

Nathan Drake is a monster. Not only do his actions result in the deaths of hundreds of people, but he seems to actually enjoy maiming and murdering them. Remember when you€™re given a tranquilizer gun in the second game? No? That€™s because Nathan holds onto it for all but five minutes before discarding the thing in favour of more conventional, lethal firearms. Just look at the man€™s silent takedowns for goodness sake! They range from non-lethal smacks to the head to full on neck snapping with one hell of a crack. Think about it; how many ancient ruins as he single-handedly decimated? How much treasure has he pillaged for himself? How many friends has he gotten killed by leading them into certain death situations? Beyond a shadow of a doubt, Nathan Drake a nutcase, which is why he€™d make a perfect villain. Just imagine a story in which Nate encounters another adventurer seeking the same ancient artefact, only this adventurer wants it for a museum and not his own personal horde. The player would assume the role of the other adventurer, tentatively forming an alliance at first with the reckless and amoral Nathan Drake. Over the course of the game, Nathan€™s actions would steadily become worse and worse until you€™re forced to intervene and prevent him from burning down an ancient temple or mutilating someone unnecessarily. From that point on, you€™d be at odds. Nate would be out for his own interests, and you€™d be fighting for a greater purpose.
