10 Video Game Franchises That Need A Reboot

8. Crash Bandicoot

Here€™s a franchise where the writing is very much already on the walls for a reboot, after the creators of the franchise themselves said they would love to see it happen. It€™s really down to Activision, who have so far buried any such talk amid a lot of corporate rhetoric, declaring how much they love Crash Bandicoot while apparently not being able to find a way to bring him back. It really would not be that difficult; just stick to the classic elements that have made Crash an enduring platformer icon €“ cheeky humour, outstanding visuals, fiendish level design, vehicles, and animals. That€™s all you need. Given the direction the series has taken in recent years, introducing an increasing number of gimmicks, it€™d be nice to see Crash return to the loopy roots that saw the third Crash game, Warped, become one of the highest-selling PlayStation games of all time. Get back to the basics, put more effort in, and seek to re-establish a brand that has been waning considerably over the last decade. Also, the possibilities of online co-op and a leaderboard for time trials are extremely exciting.
