8. Crash Bandicoot
Heres a franchise where the writing is very much already on the walls for a reboot, after the creators of the franchise themselves said they would love to see it happen. Its really down to Activision, who have so far buried any such talk amid a lot of corporate rhetoric, declaring how much they love Crash Bandicoot while apparently not being able to find a way to bring him back. It really would not be that difficult; just stick to the classic elements that have made Crash an enduring platformer icon cheeky humour, outstanding visuals, fiendish level design, vehicles, and animals. Thats all you need. Given the direction the series has taken in recent years, introducing an increasing number of gimmicks, itd be nice to see Crash return to the loopy roots that saw the third Crash game, Warped, become one of the highest-selling PlayStation games of all time. Get back to the basics, put more effort in, and seek to re-establish a brand that has been waning considerably over the last decade. Also, the possibilities of online co-op and a leaderboard for time trials are extremely exciting.
