10 Video Game Sequels We're Still Crying Out For

While some games get far more love than they deserve, many others are still waiting for continuation.

The reliability of massive franchises has become a cornerstone of today's video game market. For better or for worse, there are a high percentage of titles that make continuous appearances year after year, with the autumn and winter schedules in particular contributing to this trend.

But for every game that gets yet another sequel or tie-in, it seems that there is another deserving title that doesn't get the continuation fans are crying out for. It'd be foolish, of course, to imagine that every great game could lend itself to a sequel.

Some are so unique and well-contained that it's simply not necessary to drag them out any further. In these cases subsequent releases would be ill-advised - but that obviously doesn't mean it doesn't ever happen...

Rather than focus on games that are undeserving of series status, however, it's time to yearn for games that are still yet to be pair their dues.

Like an over-too-soon summer fling, these are the games that sadly left us just as we were getting particularly excited by them. Here are ten video game sequels that would represent that reinvigorating, proverbial autumn romance.
