10 Video Game Sequels We’d Totally Get Stupidly Excited About

9. L.A Noire

With developers Team Bondi no longer existing, most people scoff at the idea of a second L.A Noire. "It was a flash in the pan" and "it was a bankrupting mistake" are typical remarks bellowed by pessimists. But, Rockstar have previously declared that L.A Noire’s future is being considered.

Therefore, a return to the innovative gameplay and neo-noir world is unlikely… but not impossible.

As a unique and interactive crime thriller, L.A Noire was a spectacle which captured the atmosphere of 1940s Los Angeles perfectly.

Still, there were flaws: It was linear and would never allow you to fail, making your decisions and errors feel inconsequential. Its car chases felt arbitrary and in conflict with the game's tone, and L.A itself was simply a beautiful film set - a pointless open-world in which you could only drive from point A to point B.

Regardless of these issues, an announced sequel would have everyone rejoicing because of the potential for the interrogation scenes to be even better due to the advancements of facial animation technology.

If the opportunity ever arises to come out of retirement and play detective again, no one would turn down the chance to explore the underbelly of L.A once more.
