10 Video Games That Would Be Awesome In First Person

10. The Legend Of Zelda

Speaking of Zelda, let's get started with the land of Hyrule, and talk about how it could be handled in first person. Zelda is no stranger to perspective switches; having started in a traditional 2D top-down view, then switching to 3D third-person with 1998's Ocarina of Time. But while all that lead to some of the finest examples of the genre, it's tantalizing to think about controlling Link in a fully 3D Hyrule in first person. Consider it almost like Zelda meets The Elder Scrolls, where you control the sword with one button and the shield with another, allowing you some more directional freedom over where you swing the Master Sword. Usually, combat in Zelda is handled with a lock-on system, but there's something thrilling about being fully in control of Link's abilities. It would beautifully combine the free-form combat of the 2D games with the beautiful modern technology of today, a vibrant mix that could entice any hardcore Zelda fan to give it whirl.
