10 Worst Parts Of 2018's Biggest Video Games

And it was all looking so good.

It may have taken the current generation a good year and a half to initially kick in, but sufficed to say we're enjoying some of the finest titles not only of the ongoing decade, but all time.

God of War is arguably the best PS4 exclusive, Dragon Ball FighterZ redefined the very aesthetic of an animated fighter, Monster Hunter: World finally saw the franchise crack the west, and all-round it feels like 2018 is solid as a rock.

But that said... there are some cracks.

Even Kratos' loveable adventure isn't completely flawless, and that's before you get stuck into the likes of Far Cry 5 or the divisive-as-hell Sea of Thieves. Microsoft in particular have been on shaky ground since 2013, but even their newest batch of exclusives didn't go down especially smoothly, or all that memorably, either.

Overall, we're still chasing that "perfect game". Many of the following came mighty close - and sold supremely healthy amounts of copies to guarantee sequels that could right those wrongs - but they weren't without some notable blemishes.
