2. Death Stranding Has A Playable Underwater Sequence

Hideo Kojima was on hand at PSX to talk up his highly anticipated new game Death Stranding, though it's fair to say the segment fell a little flat due to the 8-minute trailer from the previous night's Game Awards being pointlessly replayed, Mark Cerny's fairly underwhelming line of questions for the iconic developer, and a general lack of concrete new info about the game.

The only significant morsels were that Mark Cerny claimed the game does indeed begin to make sense after you've been playing it for 4 or 5 hours, and Kojima confirmed that the surreal underwater sequence depicted in the trailer, where Norman Reedus' protagonist witnesses a Lovecraftian squid eating people above him, is a playable part of the game.

Considering that Kojima is a master of stomach-knotting suspense, this is sure to be one hell of a sequence when players get their hands on it...eventually.
