11 Upcoming Video Games That Might Be The PS4's Killer App

From Nathan Drake's new adventure to The Last Guardian (if it ever comes out)...

Uncharted 4 Image The term "killer app" denotes a video game so excellent and generation-defining that it pretty much becomes the reason to own the console it's released on. Just look at Super Mario 64, Halo, Metal Gear Solid, or any other massively acclaimed exclusive title, and it's clear that they became the primary reason to own said console, with any other great games being a delightful bonus. As multi-platform titles are more common than ever, exclusives as a whole don't form as large a part of the market as they used to, and so when a killer app comes along, boy, do you know it or what? The PS4 has been out for well over a year now, and one of the chief complaints is that the platform is lacking a killer exclusive title to really distinguish it from Microsoft's Xbox One (which is pretty much suffering the same problem itself). Take a look at the hyped-up exclusives released so far: Killzone: Shadow Fall was a decent tech demo, Knack was a bust, Infamous: Second Son was visually gorgeous and fun to play but ultimately quite forgettable, Driveclub had a botched launch and then turned out to be merely good, and just last week, The Order: 1886 was a major disappointment. The platform is desperately crying out for that one game to blow everyone away and confirm that the PS4 is the console to own. It could be any one of these 11 titles, so fingers crossed!
