11 Video Games You'll Buy No Matter What

It's futile to resist anything this awesome.

2014 was pretty weird for gaming, as although the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One both had solid releases in their first full year it's safe to say thus far there's not been a game on either platform that's been so amazing it made people's eyes jump out of their sockets in disbelief. In fact, many games were hyped to such an extent that it was literally impossible for them to meet expectations. Both Titanfall and Watch Dogs failed to be the revolutionary experiences they were made out to be. Surprisingly, it was Monolith's Middle-earth: Shadow Of Mordor that did the best job of showing the potential of the new consoles. Sadly like a cheap bottle of wine it didn't really get better towards the end either, thanks to many heavy-hitting holiday titles suffering from lengthy delays, server problems and more. But wait - there was always a light at the end of this very average-looking tunnel. Game developers have had many tasty-looking (and metaphorical) buns in their ovens for years, and they'll finally be ready for mass-consumption soon enough. The next few years are guaranteed to be packed full of quality releases that many gamers would sell a kidney to get their mitts on no matter what.

When I'm not playing games, I'm probably either writing about them somewhere or singing stupid songs inspired by them. Or eating pizza.
