Getting a movie adaptation of a video game off the ground is a pretty challenging feat before studios even consider casting: just look at the mess that Microsoft created by playing hardball with the movie studios over Halo, ultimately killing the deal to the disappointment of millions of gamers and film fans. So, let's be hypothetical for a minute and consider that the 12 below video games have been optioned for a new movie treatment and casting is moving forward: who do we want to play the protagonists? Some of these actors have been long-tied or suggested to be up for said part, though to date each has yet to come to anything. I deliberately opted not to include Michael Fassbender in Assassin's Creed or Tom Hardy in Splinter Cell, because those are basically done deals, and where's the fun in that?
