From the player response to Friday the 13th: The Game, you'd think it was a well-engineered asymmetrical video game that had scored solid critical acclaim.

Unfortunately, though the appeal of playing as Jason Voorhees speaks for itself, Friday the 13th's glitch-filled, repetitive gameplay loop quickly sours after a few hours, and you might've eventually found yourself resorting to team-killing just to liven things up a bit (though not anymore, because a patch eventually removed TK-ing completely).

The game scored a middling 61 on Metacritic, which is honestly much more than it deserves considering how cheaply it's clearly been assembled, no matter that it's evidently made by people with a real love for the franchise.

There's definitely a version of this game which could be worthy of the fandom it enjoys, but in its present state, it's a depressingly janky mess.
