13 Worst Video Games Of 2017 (So Far)

12. Fire Emblem Heroes

FE 13 Terrain Fire Emblem Heroes

Fire Emblem's first foray onto mobile admittedly managed to find an audience, but as someone steeped in the familiarity of the handheld versions, this was a poor adaptation of an otherwise extremely deep tactical game.

Where in the various 3DS incarnations you'd be free to position characters next to each other for buffs and joint attacks/defending, consider character placement for bonuses and plan for future battles with advanced move unlocks and grinding, Heroes reduced that down to 30 second swipe-to-win 'battles' and random loot drops for new characters.

It certainly looked flashy enough in motion, retains a solid player base and works as a good mobile game (though the bar of quality is on the floor), but as an entry in the Fire Emblem franchise? It's nowhere near competent enough.
