15 Good Reasons To Hate Modern Gaming

14. Day One Patches

A minor quibble, but a quibble none the less. I can€™t tell you how many times I€™ve popped a brand new game in, ready to play, only to have to download a patch. Sometimes these vary from minor to major patches, but regardless of the size, they are taking time I could be playing the game to update an aspect of the game that should have been fixed before release. And don€™t even consider the prospect of someone lacking an internet connection altogether, as they€™d be screwed right off the bat. Nothing dampens your excitement for a new game quite like a day one patch.
