16. Dino Crisis

Original Release Date: July 1, 1999

Dino Crisis was much more than "Resident Evil with dinosaurs", a bracingly intense survival horror game with impressive visuals (at the time) that also introduced an appealing new gaming heroine by way of protagonist Regina.

With the original Resident Evil getting the remake and remaster treatment many times over, and Resident Evil 2 soon due to follow suit, fans are hoping that Capcom might give its lesser-known sister franchise a chance at a revival...after summarily killing it with 2003's terrible Dino Crisis 3.

How Likely Is It?: There is at least a precedent for Capcom releasing remasters and remakes, but with the disappointing sales of both Street Fighter V and Resident Evil 7, they probably won't want to take any risks in the near-future, as they may doubt the staying power of the Dino Crisis brand. You never know, though.
