After all, the player is taking control of a ninja that has power over four different types of magical ninjutsu techniques and there are a number of enemies that you will encounter in the game that seem a little out of place, even in this strangely modernised version of feudal Japan. Nowhere is that more true than in Revenge of Shinobi. Having already encountered a Terminator rip-off and an enemy ninja that is able to create shadows of itself, level seven of the game introduces a giant, mechanical dinosaur for you to fight. Not only is the boss stupidly hard, but there is no indication that it is mechanical at the start of the battle, leading to many players wondering what a prehistoric creature has to do with ninjas and samurai. For an added bonus, the original runs of the game had you battling Godzilla, which only upped the WTF factor even more.
