20 Most Hotly Anticipated Games Still To Come In 2014

October has been singled out as the month that we're all going to be living on instant noodles in order to afford the absurd number of games coming out.

It's been quite a year in gaming so far, what with the likes of South Park: The Stick of Truth, Titanfall, Infamous: Second Son, Watch Dogs and Mario Kart 8 being released to solid-to-strong acclaim, but we're now entering what is traditionally known as the summer drought period for games, as people actually venture outside and do things other than sit inside playing video games (though you lucky PS Vita owners can make the best of a boring family BBQ by using the Remote Play feature). With so many games recently delayed until an indeterminate period in 2015 and the dust beginning to settle from E3, we have a crystal-clear picture moving forward of what the remainder of 2014 holds for us, and boy, it's a doozy. Though there's very little of interest to tide gamers over from June through to August (other than catching up on your backlog, of course), October has been singled out as the month that we're all going to be living on instant noodles in order to afford the absurd number of games coming out, and as is more characteristic, November is also going to be a strong gaming month. Here are the 20 most anticipated games still to come in 2014!

20. Oddworld New 'N' Tasty! (July 22)

Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee is one of the most beloved PlayStation games ever made, and considering its demo was packaged with many versions of the PS1 in the late 1990s, it's little surprise that it holds a dear place in many people's hearts. Developers Just Add Water have recreated the game from the ground-up, boasting glorious HD visuals while still retaining the same perfect gameplay. Players control Abe, an alien who must escape his life of slavery at Rupture Farms while rescuing as many of his fellow Mudokon slaves as possible. A side-scrolling platformer with a number of outrageous gimmicks, such as the ability to possess gun-totting enemies known as Sligs and quirky communication options with other Mudokons, Abe's Oddysee was ground-breaking at the time and endures as an imaginative, superbly artful adventure game with a high degree of challenge. At E3, it was announced that the New 'n' Tasty edition will drop for PS4 on July 22nd, with PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 3, Wii U, PC, Mac and Linux versions also in the pipeline. Predicted Metacritic Score: 83
