"I'm going on an adventure!"

Pokémon GO continues to be The Biggest Thing Ever, and every day we're hearing some incredible stories. Central Park came to a standstill as a rogue Vaporeon was spotted nearby, an MMA fighter defeated his opponent only to roll a Pokéball towards him, and there's even the unbelievably heartwarming tale of hospital ward patients gaining new leases of life, simply to track various creatures roaming the halls.

The app may have only been with us for a short time, but it's already surpassed Twitter in daily active users, becoming the highest grossing app in every supported country so far. I can personally attest to how it's spurred thousands of players to lead more active lifestyles, has brought communities together and started hundreds of friendly conversations, too - essentially, it's a damn good thing all round, and one of 2016's finest gaming experiences by quite some margin.

All that said, what does it mean to be a Pokémon master in 2016? Share your own observations and insights in the comments below, and let's revel in a community that's sprung up around one of the most successful video games in quite some time.

20. Thinking Anyone Who Puts Down A Lure Module Is The Real MVP

I can't be the only one who's not spent a penny on Pokémon GO, yet is continually reaping the microtransaction-funded rewards of Lure Modules popping up left, right and centre?

Landmarks, monuments, even donuts shops and arcades, any social spot is guaranteed to have one ticking away at the centre. Just look for pink petals emanating from the various PokéStops like little tokens of pure joy, then walk up and catch as many as you can before it expires.
