20 Things RPGs Taught Us About Life

In the gaming world there's no genre as richly detailed, diverse and full of fantastic stuff as the RPG. From hit points to world-bending shenanigans, these fantastic games have it all. Whereas some titles go for massive explosions and big-time events at breakneck pace, RPGs let their events unfold over countless hours in varied fashion, allowing you to explore everything from massive alien worlds to medieval-esque steampunk-inspired cities and everything else in between. Those gamers who are fans of the RPG, in both their Eastern and Western forms, have been subjected to a lot of things over the years. Whether you've embraced them with open arms of instead been gradually indoctrinated over time, RPGs have taught you great nuggets of advice that are totally perfect for use in modern society. Okay, so maybe they're not entirely acceptable for use in modern society - and if you did follow the things RPGs taught you you'd probably be arrested and/or locked away in a mental asylum - but that doesn't mean we didn't learn them anyway! 20. It Is Perfectly Acceptable To Loot Randomer's Possessions

Not only have you just broken into and entered (or casually strolled in depending on the circumstances) someone else's property, but you now find yourself suddenly searching through all of their cupboard, plantpots and other mysterious jars and containers to help yourself to all of their stuff. Curiously, more often than not, the person who owns the house will watch you do this from afar and be perfectly understanding as you lift his/her life savings from a hidden crevice and casually stroll outside to spend it on potions and other adventure fodder.
