Yakuza isn’t a particularly well known franchise outside of Japan, but talk to anyone who knows their stuff and they’ll tell you that actually it’s really rather good. Those of you clever with numbers might have already worked out that the zero in the title means this is a prequel to the main Yakuza series. Well done! This one’s set in 1998 and once again focuses on members of an organised Japanese crime syndicate: The Yakuza.
The series is well known for its impressive combat and thrilling story. The good news for western gamers is that Yakuza 0 released in Japan way back in March 2015 and received rave reviews from critics and fans.
