20. Metal Gear Solid
This just had to be included, didn't it?
One of the most innovative games in history, Metal Gear Solid is full of memorable moments, exceptional storytelling and just a straight up blast to play. Whether you're battling a giant tank armed with grenades, facing off against a cyborg ninja or having an epic hand-to-hand fight atop a giant mech, every single second of MGS is filled with something to love.
This is also the game that started the entire Metal Gear series, which - sadly - appears to be slowly dying as the latest game in the series has gone completely insane and simply has you fighting zombies in an alternate world. Oh well, we still have our memories.
Just make sure you play plenty of International Track and Field before playing MGS - you'll need real button mashing skills to resist Ocelot's torture.
