3 Reasons You Want Nintendo To Stop Making Consoles

2. The Hardware Is Not As Powerful

mass-effect-3-wii-u-gamepad-640x351 It is a fact that current Nintendo hardware has lagged behind the competition. Nintendo fans always jump to say that graphics do not make a game great. This is true, but they most certainly do not hurt it. The more lifelike a game is then the more immersed you can become in it. There was nothing lifelike about the Wii. It is still baffling that Nintendo released the Wii without HD capabilities. Something as simple as HD games has taken Nintendo over five years longer to develop than their competition. The Wii U has finally brought their games into the HD generation. Even with this addition the Wii U is still not as powerful as its competition. The Xbox One and PS4 will both be brought to market with 8 GB of RAM and 500 GB hard drives. The deluxe Wii U ships with 2 GB of RAM and a 32 GB hard drive. From a purely technical standpoint it is obvious the Wii U is lacking. This issue will become more apparent as third party AAA games become more demanding. There will be a time when these games can no longer run on the system. This will plague the Wii U with another generation where they lack true third party support.
