4 Video Games That Prove The Review System Is Broken

4. The Wonderful 101

Metascore: 78 The WiiU isn't having the best time. With a lack of new software and the impending release of a new wave of rival consoles, things are only set to get worse. Nintendo has released some killer stuff over the last few months like Wind Waker HD and the release of EarthBound (finally) but a third party game developed by Platinum Games is the most brilliant of them all. The Wonderful 101 is an action game where you control 101 superheroes. All at once. The heroes appear in a little pack on your screen and you swarm enemies taking them out with your collective strength. Using the Gamepad (or my personal preference, the Pro Controller) you can activate special abilities by Unite Morphing. The Wonderful 101 is colourful, exciting and includes an epic story that is equal parts stupid and really stupid. But if you sit back and enjoy the ride, The Wonderful 101 is the most fun you'll have had in a long time, and is the perfect antidote to all the seriousness of games like GTA V and The Last Of Us. The Wonderful 101 getting an average of 78 doesn't do the game the justice it deserves, and although it's by no means a bad score, no doubt many players will miss the game because of it. Which is a damn shame.
