5 Gaming Side Characters Who Somehow Got Incredibly Famous

Kinda Like Seaman For the Dreamcast But Even Worse Mario, Master Chief, Lara Croft, Solid Snake. These are names which every gamer knows, and even many non gamers know well. The stars of video games are like stars of movies. Some guys have what it takes to be at the top like a Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt or Megan Fox, and others do not have what it takes. Like most of the Baldwin brothers or Christian Slater. Sometimes however, there are actors who you don€™t think should make it big, but do. Video game characters are no different, and there are some characters who have appeared in games secondary to the stars, but have gone on to be famous and stars in their own right. It doesn€™t always happen. 100 points to anyone who can name the second playable character in Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness...exactly. But this list is a look at the ones who have made it big. 5. The Rabbids

Rabbids Header In the beginning there was Rayman. Rayman was the creation of Michel Ancel from Ubisoft and starred in his first game which came out on the PSone, Sega Saturn and Atari Jaguar. The game was fun, and lead to a few sequels on N64, Dreamcast, PS2 and basically every console under the sun. Unlike so many characters that have come and gone Rayman was a success. Not in the same league as a Mario or a Sonic, but a star in his own right. Then Nintendo released the Wii, and fitting in with the many multiplayer mini game possibilities that the Wii remote offered Rayman starred in the game Rayman Raving Rabbids. Rayman starred, but it wouldn€™t be long before the Rabbids of the title soon outshone the franchise they were born from. The Rabbids are a group of crazy looking and crazy natured rabbits, and were the true star of their first party game appearance on Wii. Their funny expressions and big gappy teeth made them an instant hit and after three games in Rayman€™s shadow (Rayman Raving Rabbids, Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 and Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party) the bunnies were ready to take the spotlight for themselves. Rayman was out the title and it was the Rabbids who had top billing fpr Rabbids Go Home. Several games later and the bonkers bunnies show no signs of slowing down. Still, not to be over shadowed forever, Rayman came back with a vengeance in Rayman Origins and the soon to be released Rayman Legends.
