5 Lessons JRPG Gamers Learn The Hard Way

5. Rotate Those Saves JRPGs hold a ridiculous amount of content. And I mean ridiculous. Whereas (some) Western games seem content delivering a 6 hour campaign, JRPGs can keep you on the hook for hundreds of hours. But more on that later. Anyway, with this big of a game, it's not unreasonable (at least to me) to think that sometimes glitches and 'wipes' may occur from time to time. That's why the first lesson a JRPG gamer should learn would be in the save screen. Look at the number of save slots you are allocated. That's probably the amount you should use. Now, I don't expect anyone to heed my advice, until they experienced the disappointment of finding the last 10 hours of gameplay you invested your time in mysteriously deleted. It feels terrible, and it almost feels like the game is punishing you for not preparing for such an event. I still have nightmares about the Chrono Trigger that could have been.
