5 Most Memorable Video Game Hoaxes

5. Tomb Raider - Nude Croft

Tomb Raider We've discussed this myth before, so I'll try not to repeat what that article already said. Lara Croft is one of the biggest sex symbols in the video game industry (the first one was Ms. Pac-Man, don't deny that her sexy outfit made you horny as hell) to the point in which when an actress was cast for the movie, they chose a hot actress instead of a talented one. But let's not talk about that travesty, and let's focus on this well known myth. What's The Story? In a way it makes sense that a glitch or a cheat code would allow you to make the "hot" Lara Croft completely nude. The Justin Bailey cheat code in Metroid made you think that if a game like that could allow you to see how Samus looked like under her suit, it was possible that it could have an equivalent in the popular video game. The Truth Behind The Hoax Sure, a nude Croft was in the game code, but it required a Mod for the PC version of the game to actually unlock the feature. I guess you can consider that this one is true, but when you think about it there isn't a legitimate way to unlock the feature without the need of a MOD or forcing it with some kind of glitch.
