5 Reasons Sega's Dreamcast May Be Heading For World Domination

SEGA-logo-2 It's a good time to be a gamer. The announcement of Sega's newest console Dreamcast -- formerly Katana -- has caused rumours to swirl about what the company is planning to achieve with their newest system. It would seem that the lack of solid facts on the system is worthy of calling in Mulder and Scully, but with any luck we won't need them. It seems that Sega's newest hardware may be coming overseas very shortly to satisfy gamers' curiosity. The company has a massive opportunity to utilize consumer intrigue as one of the best hands they have ever been dealt and play it towards claiming a victory on world domination. Leaving the Sega Saturn behind gives us hope that a new generation of gaming memories will begin and the incredible forward momentum that Sega builds will grant us more game offerings than we can get our hands on. For now, lets take a look at a few of the best reasons why the Dreamcast may be heading toward world domination.

5. A New Sonic Adventure?

Sonic What better reason to have gamers shouting, "Oh snap", than seeing the furry blue hedgehog bursting to life in full 3D? As a matter of fact, there is not a better reason because if rumors are true then there will be a new Sonic adventure in the near future. All we can do is hope that we will actually be able to navigate Sonic through a full free roam 3D environment. The Sonic Team has an opportunity to create something truly special with a much beloved fan franchise. It seems logical for Sonic fans to expect some form of an evil plot to be in motion that sees the villainous Doctor Eggman attempting to steal the powerful Chaos Emeralds. You would think that an evil genius would be able to stop a hedgehog and his friends. I mean, who expects a hedgehog to stop an evil doctor just because the blue fuzzball happens to wear sneakers? I do...I really do.
