5 Underrated PS1 Games That Had Amazing Openings

4. Duke Nukem: Time To Kill

Ah Duke, this game was knee deep in self parody and it knew it, with references to Tomb Raider, Evil Dead, Back to the Future and The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. Duke will always be one of my guilty pleasure gaming icons, even despite the crimes that have been perpetrated in his name more recently. The opening scene for this game featured the song "The Thing I Hate" by Stabbing Westward and had Duke on his motorbike, heading back to his favorite strip bar only to find some evil Pig Cops teleporting in from another dimension and interrupting Duke's fun, they even go one step further by turning his sweet ride into a little girl's bike. Naturally this ticks the big man off enough to start makin' bacon on the pigs, and not content with popping a few caps in a few porcine backsides, he starts lobbing a few pipe bombs around for good measure. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ca408SAxNfw
