5. Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs
On: PC/Mac/Linux Release: Sep 10 Good horror games are rather hard to come by nowadays. Hell, even the old reliables like Resident Evil and Silent Hill have become something warped and convoluted as they tried to change with the times. Inevitably, the only horror in those games is how good they used to be. Amnesia: The Dark Descent was an insanely good return to survival horror gaming of yore. This was a game that I couldn't play in the dark but I felt like I was cheating every time I played it in the day. It took me a long time to complete The Dark Descent, if only because I could only endure it in small chunks. In steps Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs, the next in the series, and expectations are high. It will no doubt be the cause of many sleepless nights across the world. So get ready for the horror of Amnesia.
