5 Video Game Enemies That Look Suspiciously Like Vaginas

Rakk Hive Have you ever sat playing a video game and got really into it, only to come across a huge end of game boss, or normal enemy for that matter who looks like something straight out of a weird Japanese anime? That's right, we're talking about the enemies in video games who look like huge walking vaginas. Fear of the vagina is not a new thing by any means - Ridley Scott played on it quite heavily in his horror mythology for the Alien franchise, adding in further elements of male penetration and impregnation just to make his male audience members feel the horror on a whole new level - and there are a fair few examples of films based on the fundamental fear. It works because that particular body part is supposed to represent new life and pleasure, and grotesquely transforming it thus becomes hugely affecting - like turning a simple children's toy into a killer (Child's Play) or a tasty foodstuff into a deformed monster (Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes). So anyway, all explanations aside, there are a worrying number of enemies in video games who appear at first sight to look an awful lot like vaginas - albeit monstrous, toothy ones for added effect. But the similarities are hard to ignore. You'll never look at one in the same way again...

5. Barnacle: Half Life Series

Half Life Barnacle These things were the bane of my life while playing through Half Life, though they're not the most difficult of enemies to defeat - you don't even need to engage them directly. Encountering them one on one isn't too bad either, just run around its line of snot and you're golden, though if you make the mistake of stepping into said line of snot, you're going to have to look up and realise that a large vagina-like creature is about to devour you. They're even worse when they are encountered in groups, as side-stepping to avoid one more than likely means you've inadvertently stepped into another one. And following an odd but grand tradition from horror stories featuring female genitalia substitutes and the vagina dentata folk-tale, they also have teeth. http://youtu.be/7S-UYWSj2Mo
