7 Upcoming Video Games That Will Waste Their Biggest Selling Points

6. Being An Authentic World War II Shooter - Battlefield V

Battlefield 5

Of all this year's ball-droppers, DICE and EA nigh-on slam-dunked it straight into the soil. Now apparently 85% behind Call of Duty in pre-orders, such stats come from Battlefield's quirky online multiplayer card being played way too early.

This also ties into why we saw hook-handed soldiers on the front lines, spiked baseball bats and katanas all within the same platoon - because DICE were aiming for an "everyone's welcome!" showcase of worldy war efforts, only to come off as completely nonsensical.

Add the game's campaign trailer landing on the wrong side of "less is more" (see below), and even after the beta confirmed gameplay is solid as hell, you can't help but question the very direction the game is going in everything other than base mechanics.
